    加大导轮(OSPW)自2015年由CeramicSpeed推出,那独特的外型在一开始还不大能让人接受,然而随着时间的递移以及科技的演进,加上越来越多职业车手的投入,不少市民车友也开始爱上这项「改装精品」,甚至有车友开玩笑说,加大导轮频繁到以为拿身分证到乡公所就可以领取,无痛升级不求人。

    现在外出骑车没装个大导轮,总感觉好像哪里怪怪的

    然而即使如此那居高不下的价格以及后续保养维修等成本也让人为之却步,甚至部分车友开对于其是否有真实的功效提出质疑。这个议题到了现在不论正方、反方都有其各自的拥护者,似乎也没有一个正确的答案,那么究竟加大导轮值不值得升级?又或者只是品牌迫使消费的手段?今天就让我们来破解这项世纪之谜。

    虽然加大导轮系统很早就被推出,然而真正的普及化要从2019年开始,不少World Tour选手甚至到了2021年才开始真正使用这项产品。目前效力于Israel Premiere Tech的舰长Chris Froome在采访中提到,过去他所骑乘的车款F10是没有配备大导轮的,在更换成OSTRO VAM后才首次尝试这项改装品,虽然后续的采访并未针对大导轮的效能有进一步的说明,但能明显感受对这位三大赛常胜军来说是项非常新鲜的体验。

    确实,如果仔细研究不难发现在如今世界级的赛事,不论是公路赛、MTB甚至是三铁赛中越来越多职业选手开始升级大导轮。先姑且不论真实性能如何,但既然能让这些在功率上锱铢必较的选手都愿意发时间投入研究与消费,那么大导轮肯定有其过人之处。「大导轮的目标就是减少传动系统之间的干扰,透过减少链条折角以及更优质的轴承来提升能量传输的效率」CeramicSpeed产品经理Paul Sollenberger 说道。

    透过传动系统实际运作的方式来看就非常容易理解,以圆周运动为发想,经物理实验可以得知最有效率的运动方向就是跟向心力方向垂直。因此当链条进入导轮的外角越接近90度所获得的扭力也就越大。加上而链条被曲折的量变少,摩擦的面积减少促使整体阻力变小,同时有着陶瓷培林的辅助让传动系统更为顺畅。

    那你可能认为,这样一来其实我换个陶瓷培林就好,其实不然。当齿轮加大代表着齿轮的周长也为之变长,因此在等距离的条件下,小齿轮的转数远大于大齿轮的转数,因此在滚动时的能量损耗也相对减少。目前品牌所提供的实验数据,在以40km/hr巡航时,配有大导轮能节省1.5至2W。这个数字乍看下不怎么起眼,然而当你骑乘时间拉长至3小时以上,后变速的换档的次数超过1000次,所累积下来的瓦数将非常可观。

    既然这种设计有这么多的好处,那为什么变速系统原厂如Shimano以及SRAM不进行开发甚至使其成为标配呢?理由非常简单,除了成本外,变速大厂考量的是整套系统的稳定度以及相容性,较大的齿轮会提高链条张力,没有做好调整有极大的机率发生跳齿以及掉链等风险,权衡之下必须做出最适当的选择。

    最后,究竟加大导轮值不值得入手呢?套一句最直接的说法,如果世界级的选手都开始节省瓦数,那么像我们这种FTP不足300的市民小水枪,有什么理由对这1、2瓦不锱铢必较呢,别的不说至少心灵瓦数有显著成长!?更何况近几年不少台湾MIT品牌开发特色大导轮,像是Wishbone, Fouriers等价格也非常亲民,就非常适合刚入坑的车友们;那如果不在意荷包,Absolute Black中空导轮或是CeramicSpeed新推出的OSPW RS就是你不二的选择。
