    进入轮轴的世界,不同的设计是需求的延伸

        源起公路车场地赛,把轻量化结构做到极致,为单速车的基本要求。于是除却刹车与变速器2项元件,换上专用的花鼓,遂成单速车之名。而单速车花鼓正反牙(双层牙)搭配固定环的设计,在结构上与一般自行车的花鼓有小小的不同,假如你是热衷DIY的玩家,这是正确选购的第一要素。

        除此之外,深入花鼓的结构,车友们应该会好奇,我的花鼓是散珠式还是封闭式的呢?玩花式、耐撞击,招车(Trick)的花鼓多选用散珠的系统,价格上也平易近人;相对来说,场地车(Track)需要流畅的运作,专注于竞速取向,没有转把、回旋的需求,会选用高单价的封闭式培林。散珠式封闭式花鼓,两者的特性各有不同。

        轴距最短的单速车花鼓

        不同于公路与登山车的轴距,单速车花鼓无需棘轮座,轴距自然较短,介于110~120mm之间,但仍须保有一定的长度,才能应付踩踏的扭力考验。相较之下,以负责驱动的后花鼓来说,公路车轴距为130mm、登山车再宽一些,来到135mm,如此才能在安全无虞的状态下,做出高难度的飞跃动作,同时兼顾变速的需求。

        钢丝数与强度的相对论

        强度的另一项来源,来自钢丝数目的多寡,这点和花鼓的孔数有直接的关系。举例来说,极限单车所使用的轮组,花鼓可达48孔,要完成4交叉不是问题。为达到轻量、高速的要求,场地车的钢丝数较少,而招车做的是飘移、旋转、大回旋等动作,不倾向BMX的强力大招,大抵来说,钢丝数与公路车相仿,至多以36支为限,可达到3交叉之谱。

        花鼓的好坏如何判断

        建议车友们在购入车款前,先用双手检查花鼓是否松动,再转动轮组感受其流畅与否,最后还是要透过试乘的过程,用身体的重量,挑战产品的质量,亲身试验强度能否经得起考验,热爱玩招的玩家要特别注意。近来,坊间出现许多低价车款,在通勤尚可接受,不过魔鬼往往出现在细节之中;车友购买前不妨向店家咨询产地,对自己购入的爱车了解就能有更深一层的认识!
